More updates ..

Date: 13 December 2008-12-10
Turnover
Turnover doubled in November!
We are working hard to keep this up for December and looking at other ways of growing revenue.

Sales People
Exciting times! We are putting an ‘Induction and training program’ into place.

National Accounts Karen suggests that it might be a better idea to go after smaller companies to start with and after showing a good record of SME advertising then go after the big boys. We are also looking into joining CIPD to network with HR executives. We have also joined a few online mailing lists to get news on new HR personnel joining companies with the aim to go after them. We might also have to take out subscriptions to some magazines.

Strategic Alliances We have started our campaign with Career Shifters and hoping they will be up and running by next week. We are now looking at more sites to join forces with as well as regional newspapers. Karen also suggested we work with the Call Centre Association to try and get more Call Centre’s advertising for telesales people, as this has been particularly successful on Remote Employment so far.

Commission Junction Karen suggested we make contact with Commission Junction, we are now waiting for someone to get hold of us and hope to be able to get their advertisers to refer clients to us for placing of jobs, thus another revenue stream.

Remote and Home Worker Awards With all the publicity around national awards campaigns, Karen suggested we try one of our own. We have now put together a brief for a Remote and Home Worker Awards. We are approaching possible sponsors and a main sponsor for the competition and hope to announce it in January to drive publicity for Remote Employment, remote working, home working and all the benefits gained.

Updates for Remote Employment and Karen Darby

Two weeks into the FreshIdeas Events Mentor Competition:

Sales Staff We have been interviewing for a Telesales Executive and a Key Account Manager. We have now arranged interviews for the cream of the crop and hope to take on two people in the next few weeks.

Remote Workforce We are working on setting up a daily reporting system so we can see how many ‘Effective Calls’ are made to potential clients. We will work more with Karen on training our new staff, taping calls and monthly coaching sessions.

PR
Hot Stuff PR this past week was HUGE after Karen mentioned Remote Employment on Radio 2!! Our hits rocketed and we are still enjoying an increase in traffic! We also still having good coverage from Red Magazine and the SEO is picking up.We are also working on further ideas for PR and in particular how we can get the message across to employers about the benefits of remote working. Watch this space.

Key Accounts Ken and I are working up a list of national accounts that we want to get into and will be trying to get into some of these accounts over the next few weeks. We have already set a meeting with an agency that might be interested in advertising flexible jobs on our site.
